KVDM

I paint moments rather than objects.Through texture, colour and layered compositions, I explore the traces that experiences leave behind — memories, sensations and fleeting moments that are difficult to hold on to.My work invites the viewer to slow down, wander, and reconnect with their own memories.

Beyond the finished work lies a world of sketches, textures, experiments and fleeting moments.

What Remains

Acrylic on canvas
90cm x 90cm
2026
€850

Some moments leave a deeper trace than others. What Remains explores the fragments that linger long after an experience has passed. The face emerges and dissolves throughout the composition, never fully revealing itself, much like a memory that can be felt more clearly than it can be recalled.Rather than portraying a person, this work reflects the emotional residue left behind by moments, relationships and experiences that continue to shape us long after they are gone.

Presence

Acrylic on canvas
Diptych
2 x 55cm x 75cm
2026
€800

Presence is a reflection on the quiet strength of simply existing within one's own body. The figure is neither idealised nor sexualised. Instead, the work seeks to capture a sense of awareness, vulnerability and confidence coexisting in the same moment. A body that occupies space without apology.Through contrast, texture and abstraction, the painting explores the beauty of being present — vulnerable, but never weak.

While It Lasts

Oil on canvas
29cm x 29cm
2025
€250

Bright, vibrant and full of life, a lemon embodies the essence of summer.Yet its beauty is temporary. Its freshness fades, its colour softens and time inevitably leaves its mark. While It Lasts reflects on the fleeting nature of joy, youth and simple pleasures. A reminder to appreciate moments of brightness while they are still within reach.

Before Everything Else

Acrylic on canvas
80cm x 60cm
2025
€700

Some moments feel insignificant while they happen, yet become the beginning of memories we carry for years. The First Pour captures a fleeting instant suspended in time: the moment just before an evening unfolds, before conversations deepen, before stories are shared.More than a painting of wine, the work is a reflection on anticipation, connection and the quiet rituals that bring people together.

De Blauwe Vangst

Acrylic on canvas
55cm x 75cm
2026
€270

The first thing that came to mind when thinking of mussels was not the dish itself, but the experience surrounding it.The colours of the sea, the scent you recognise from a distance and the atmosphere of long conversations around a shared table.De Blauwe Vangst is not a painting about mussels, but about the memories, anticipation and connection they can evoke. It reflects on those simple moments that often seem ordinary while they happen, yet remain with us long afterwards.Through colour, texture and abstraction, the work seeks to capture not an object, but the feeling of a moment.More than a painting of mussels, it is a painting about the memories they carry.
